Big Up Brindle

Yes the Cuckoo Faithful!

How are we? Where the hell is this year going by the way? Time flies when you’re having fun so they say!

We have been mad busy, the summer has certainly slowly crept up on us and we are in full flow of shows and events now. Last time we spoke, We were getting ready for one of the biggest shows we do, Junipalooza at the Tobacco Docks in London. If you are a fan of gin in general I cant recommended this show enough. There is some seriously amazing produce on show. We had another great year here, sales were fantastic and the feedback we got from the consumer was amazing. Mark & I felt proud on the long drive back to East Lancs. Big up The Gin Foundry.

Meanwhile, a bit closer to home, young Jack and William were representing Cuckoo at the Taste of Chorley event. We are always very warmed by how well received we are in our local town, we have a lot of fans here and we are very thankful for their support. Big up Chorley.

Fast forward a week and we were at another local event. This time in Blackburn, where Mark and I hale from! Some people call it God’s back garden, I’ll let you decide! We were asked to attend alongside Marketing Lancashire as part of their local produce tent at the Blackburn Festival of Makers. Again, really warming to know we have the support of a town where we have had so many of our fondest memories, especially with us both being huge Blackburn Rovers fans! Big up Blackburn.

We then had a bit of work to do at the distillery. Our amazing designer, Graham from Preston, along with the very talented Dan & Becka, had organised a filming day at the distillery. This will be available to view very soon! The purpose of the video is to further showcase our wonderful farm. You will see how we make use of our land to make the gins you all enjoy as well as a few little secrets revealed! We have seen the preview and we are over the moon with it and we can’t wait to share! Big up Graham, Dan & Becka.

If you follow us on social media, particularly Instagram, you will see me on my travels and what i get up to when representing Cuckoo. On the last blog i told you next time you heard from me would be after a week at Glastonbury, remember? Well that week has been and gone and what an amazing week it was! No place like it on earth. I didn’t clock off though. You can never clock off when you’re a living, breathing Cuckoo fanatic. I had plenty of gin to enjoy and plenty of our eco-cups to enjoy it in! I’d like to think that during Gerry Cinnamon’s set, he clocked me and my pals holding the Cuckoo logo aloft proudly! I wonder if Stormzy likes Cuckoo Spiced? He strikes me as a bloke who could handle our Lancashire sip. Big up Stormzy.

While i was gallivanting round Worthy Farm, Mark, Jack and Hayley were down at London Olympia for the crazy trade show they call Imbibe. This was our second year in attendance and definitely our best! For those of you who don’t know, Hayley is our new head of sales here at Brindle Distillery and we are super proud to have her on board. Hayley lives in Brindle Village, continuing our employment of local people! Big up Hayley.

That’s me for the time being. Plenty more stories coming up over the next few months. Another big month in July and a well deserved holiday for Mark coming up too! Big up Mark.

Look after each other.
