What is Junipalooza?
Junipalooza is an international gin show that places an emphasis on the people who make the spirit and the spirit they make by celebrating the distillers, their process and their stories. It’s become known as a cornerstone event in the calendar for gin enthusiasts and attracts both makers and drinkers from all around the world to take part.
What can I expect at a Junipalooza?
Our festival is very much one of a kind; not only are all of the makers behind each gin there in to talk you through their products in person, but every single gin is free to sample (responsibly) and comes with the option to try neat or with tonic included in the ticket price.
Who is behind Junipalooza?
The festival is run by Gin fans, for Gin fans. Gin Foundry created the show seven years ago and runs each Junipalooza, flying solo in London, and working in partnership with fellow enthusiasts in Australia & Germany. The aim for each is simple, to have the best show in the world and one that’s reflective of the gin community’s inclusive friendly nature, its diverse makers, flavours and creativity, wrapped up in an environment that’s fun and accessible.
From the organisers:
Following a Covid.19 enforced postponement, we’re pleased to say that Junipalooza is heading back to Tobacco Dock in September.
The festival is a tribute to Gin, made by people who love it, starring people who make it and filled to the brim with curious minds proffering empty glasses.
They don’t stay empty for long – each guest is given their very own keepsake tasting glass to take around the show. There will be over 70 different distillers sharing well over a hundred different gins between them and you’ll be able to stop by whichever ones take your fancy and try their gins both neat and with tonic.
Junipalooza, now in its seventh year, is a meet the maker festival.
Either the distiller or brand owner has to be there in person – we want you to be able to meet the people that put everything they have into the gins they make. We want you to be able to see their passion with your own eyes and gain some real context about the world of Gin
We’re breaking with tradition ever so slightly this year to host the festival a week before World Gin Day, but we’re still taking up a whole lot of room in the vaults to give you plenty of room to roam around. As ever, there’ll be several full brand takeovers of a handful of rooms, so you can get hands on and creative, and there’ll be several street food stalls so you can keep yourself in tip top tasting shape.
Your ticket entitles you to sample any gin you’d like to try, as well as as dozens of tonics, with around a dozen of the exhibitors mixer companies ken for you to taste their full ranges.
Junipalooza is a great chance to hear the stories, dreams and ideas that have gone into each drop of liquid being being served. We have a strict owner or maker policy at the show, so this is a very unique opportunity to meet the makers behind craft gins from around the world, with distillers (and drinkers) from all corners flying over to join in the festivities.
You’ll also have the opportunity to buy directly from some of the makers, or for convenience to do it all in one go, via Gin Kiosk. They’ll be running a click and collect set-up, so you can buy as you go and collect at the end, which will stop you missing out on sell out gins but also save your arms a workout!
This will be Junipalooza’s sixth year and we’re so excited by it. We grow every year, not just in size but in our ability to understand what it is you want from the show.
We’ve got some stellar food options available, we’re making sure you’re going to be well watered and you’ll be presented with more opportunities for mixing your gin than you ever thought possible.
Tickets will sell out and are not available on the door, don’t miss out
